Membership :

The NSL is open to public and all are welcome to use, explore and utilize the resources available in the library. NSL welcomes individuals / institutions/corporate for becoming members to utilize its huge and valuable resources. Additionally, retired CSIR staff is also eligible to become member.

• Borrowing facility
• Loan duration              :  30 days for all members

  Renewals                    :  Once only for 30 days
  Overdue charges        :  Rs. 5/- per day for the first five days and subsequently Rs. 10/- per day

• Issue & return timings
• (Monday to Friday)       10.00 AM to 1.00 PM

• 	Loss or Damage of publication
  	The borrower is obliged to compensate lost or damaged publications either by replacing the publication or by paying for it as per the following rules: Indian Books              : Original cost + 50%of the cost + overdue charges, if any. Foreign Books         : Original cost +50%of the cost at present foreign conversion                                                 rates +overdue charges, if any

• In case, the amount of the lost publication is not paid, it will be recovered from the security deposit of the user.
